Corona Virus Process and Procedures:
Clients Exhibiting Symptoms: Dry continuous cough, fatigue, difficulty in breathing, short staccato breathing when talking, elevated temperature, tingling in the hands and toes, loss of sense of smell or taste will not be admitted.
Non-Contact Thermometer: Clients entering the building will be tested with a non-contact thermometer. Acceptable body temperature range measure on the forehead: 35.60C to 370C temperatures between 37.20C to 37.80C or above are deemed to be fever and will not be admitted.
Clinical Face Masks: High quality Clinical face masks are made available for the therapist and clients; Masks, in pre-packaged sealed bags with a pair of vinyl gloves are available for clients on arrival. A laminated sign in the waiting area will detail the availability of PPE.
Full Face Visors: Re-useable full face visors are being made available for clients and therapists should it be deemed necessary, these full face visors are sanitised after use.
Vinyl Gloves: Single use vinyl gloves are made available for therapists and clients; Gloves, in pre-packaged sealed bags with a clinical face mask are available for clients on arrival. A laminated sign in the waiting area will detail the availability of PPE.
Single Use Aprons: Single use aprons are used to protect Therapists and clients clothing should they be required.
Environmental: Laminated signs are placed in each area detailing hygiene and sanitisation regimes, Air Filtration and ionising purifieres along with High Intensity ozone producing UV-C sanitising lights are used in the treatment room, waiting room and reception areas, documentary evidence of cleaning and sanitising regimes will be maintained.
Pre and Post treatments: The facilities will be deep-cleaned and sanitised as detailed below before treatments commence. Pens, pencils and clip boards will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C sanitised between clients.
General hygiene: Hand washing with sanitising hand soap and hot water for a minimum of 20seconds is available in the therapy room and in the toilet, disposable hand towels are made available to dry hand after washing.
Kitchen hygiene: All kitchen surfaces, taps, cupboard doors, drawers, handles etc. are wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C sanitised at the end of the day before leaving. Drinking Glasses, mugs, cups, water bottles and carafes will be cleaned in the dishwasher or hand washed, by gloved hands, in hot soapy water after use.
Toilet hygiene: Toilet seat, surfaces taps and accessories will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C sanitised between uses.
Door Knobs: Door knobs, Keys and handles will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C sanitised between uses.
Hand Rails: Hand rails will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C sanitised between uses.
Chair & Arm Rests: Chairs and more especially arm rests will be, where possible wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C Sanitised, where fabric seat or arm rests are used then the fabric seat will be covered with disposable coach roll, arm rests will be UV-C sanitised.
Hard Surfaces: All hard surfaces will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C sanitised.
Coaches and Towels: The couch, face-hole extension, will be covered with disposable couch roll, the face-hole extension will be sanitised between clients, disposable coverings will be changed between clients. Towels and reusable coverings will be changed between clients, at the end of the day the entire working area, reception, toilet, kitchen, corridors will be high energy UV-C sanitised before leaving the premises.
Payments: Where possible payments will be taken by card or bank transfer. Due to the limitations of contactless payments, the payment terminal will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes and UV-C sanitised following use, paper and plastic notes will be sanitised using UV-C light, coins will be sanitised using UV-C sanitisation along with antibacterial spray and dried on disposable paper towels.
Disposal: All disposable materials will be handled with gloved hands, bagged in white tie handle bags and removed from site for disposal at the end of the day. Used towels and used reusable items will be handled with gloved hands, bagged in tie handled bags and removed from site for washing.
Contact Tracing Application: An increasing number of clients have stated that should the therapist install a track and trace application then their personal date must be removed from any and every device before the application is installed. The therapist maintains comprehensive records of their clients who have attended a clinic, should any cleint notify the therapist that they have developed symptoms within forteen days of seeing the therapist, then the therapist will contact any and all clients that have been seen since the client reporting symptoms.
